Why choose The University of East London?

Inspiring lecturers
Our academics are experts in their fields, with many of them still engaging in current practice and research as they teach, ensuring our students are at the forefront of new developments and industry requirements.

Strong industry links
UEL retains strong links with industry and many courses offer a sandwich year (an extra year of work experience with an employer, organisation or department in your subject field) or short-term internships and work placements to increase your employability once you graduate.

Global opportunities
Students can take advantage of the Going Global Bursary, which offers students the chance to travel overseas to enhance their academic experience. For example, if your studies on a particular module would benefit from a visit to an overseas institution, conference, venue, event, city or country, you can apply for the Bursary. This is an excellent short-term alternative to Exchange or Study Abroad programmes, which are also available.

Excellent resources
Providing excellent academic resources for students is also a priority for the University and both the Docklands and Stratford Campuses boast 24/7 libraries with purpose-built study spaces and computer clusters. Academic facilities include laboratories, dance studios, creative studios, business induction space, modern lecture theatres, clinical facilities, sporting facilities and bespoke teaching facilities.
